Eric Villafranca is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He began his military career at 18-years-old, becoming a Communications and Navigations Missions Systems Technician for C-130H aircraft, stationed at Yokota Air Base in Japan. Eric was fortunate in that he was allowed to cross-train into a second military career. He became a Weather Forecaster in the Texas Air National Guard, providing weather support during natural disasters for the United States Army North and their Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission.
Eric attended community college while serving in the Texas Air National Guard, and it was during this time that he realized he was passionate about learning and helping others. His mentors encouraged him to continue his education to make a real change in the community. He earned a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, an MBA from Sam Houston State University, and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Baylor University.
Eric is from Houston, TX. He recently moved to James Island in Charleston, SC with his wife and two young children. He looks forward to bright minds in the classroom and sunny days outside.
