Minor in Intelligence and Homeland Security: This minor is designed to introduce students to the concepts of Intelligence and Homeland Security. This includes terrorism, intelligence collections systems, cyber security, local and national security, engineering, defense contracting, and emergency management. This minor seeks to develop each student’s capabilities for critical thinking and systematic analysis and is designed to increase the student’s knowledge of effective leadership for national security. It will enhance the knowledge and skills of students majoring in other subjects but interested in applying their discipline within the fields of homeland security and/or intelligence. No students are excluded from pursuing this minor; however, students may not use any course toward satisfying both the minor requirement and a specific or area requirement in his or her major.
