Virtual Info Session
The Office of Admissions offers virtual information sessions Monday – Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Virtual Info Sessions are live events with an Admission Officer that are 30-45 minutes in length. Prospective students can use their phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. Virtual sessions use the free Zoom video conferencing application (or ZOOM Cloud Meetings app at your smartphone marketplace). NOTE: there may be limited availability. If the date and time you select is not available, we will help you find another date and time (close to your original selection) that works for you.
Daily Campus Visits
The Office of Admissions offers in-person campus tours Monday – Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. (EST), and Fridays at 9:30am during the summer. Daily visits are a chance for prospective students and their families to participate in a group information presentation and Q/A session (approx. 45 minutes) followed by a guided tour of The Citadel campus (approx. 45 – 60 minutes). The total visit time is typically less than two hours. Other information: Visit slots are limited each day, and they are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. So that we can accommodate as many families as possible, a group size of four or less (including the student) is preferred. If any member of the visiting party is unwell or has a fever on the visit day, please contact us to reschedule your visit. For other questions, please contact 1LT Laura Curran via e-mail or phone (843-953-1676).
Inside the Gates: Pre-Knob Overnight
Pre-Knob Overnights are overnight, in-person visit programs open to students who are interested in attending The Citadel for the fall of 2023 (academic acceptance is not required). Beginning with registration at 1700 (5:00 p.m.) on a Thursday, students will get to spend a night in the barracks and eat in the Mess Hall. On Friday, parents and students attend information sessions and get to ask questions to a cadet panel and other members of The Citadel faculty and staff. A comprehensive overview of The Citadel is provided each visit. Students and parents have the opportunity to learn more about the following aspects of the cadet lifestyle: Academic programs, ROTC opportunities, Cadet life, Financial Aid, and Student Support Services. Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 dates for rising seniors will be announced soon.
High School Group Visits
High school groups are welcome to visit The Citadel campus. Such events include a short information presentation prior to a Q&A session with a current cadet. To arrange a visit for your high school group, please contact First Lieutenant Laura Curran in the Office of Admissions.
